So what have I been sewing?
I pieced and machine bound this quilt (it's twin was only finished 11 months ago!!!)
I attached the blue plus blocks to a fleece, and having mucked up the centering was driven mad by it's not-quite-symmetrical ness
And had to chop a bit off one side and the bottom
I made some little project bags to be sold at Richmond and Kew quilters exhibition in the autumn,
I made a sample tote bag for a customer,
and a trial version which will hopefully lead to a whole load that I'm hoping to sell
ANY excuse to extend a holiday works for me xx LOVE the little birds xx
ReplyDeleteI love the tote bags! Sorry your holiday had to come to an end hope tomorrow won't be too painful xx
ReplyDeleteGood luck selling your tote bags - those birds are super cute.
ReplyDeleteYou have been busy in your holidays Benta, I am sure the birdie tote bags will sell like hot cakes :)
ReplyDeleteYour sewing always inspires me.

ReplyDeleteBeautiful makes. I especially love that red and white quilt and the bag with the birds. It's a shame you have to go School at all but you still manage to make the equivalent of half a dozen ordinary bloggers :)
ReplyDeleteBenta, your red and white pinwheels are SEW yummy! And the bags... I would definitely be buying the thread bag and the little birdies. Very fun. Janita
ReplyDeleteBusy, busy, busy! Sounds like you'll be going back to work for a rest (oh, if only that was true!). Lovely stuff as ever, and it made me laugh that you had to chop the quilt to make it even - I would have had to too! xx
ReplyDeleteI hope work hasn't been a shock! You were busy enough in the hols though.
