Sometimes I have popped home to hang washing out or do other chores, sometimes I have gone shopping , occasionally I have even taken myself off to the gym, but today's idea was the best one . . .
A packed lunch, a park, blue skies, and hand sewing!
Twenty I-spy bricks now have a sashed end, and I had a lovely relaxing lunch break!
When I started at my present work location, I had a 1 1/2 hr lunch and it was perfect for doing all of the above. Then it changed to either 1/2 hour or four hours between shifts and it became not reliable and it's horrible. I loved that little creative break time or walking time...
ReplyDeleteI think that is the most constructive use of your time by far :-)
ReplyDeleteGreat idea.I have a box of hexies made when I`m travelling and watching tv.
ReplyDeleteRelaxing and productive! Two hours would be a PITA for lunch if you couldn't go out (home, or to the shops etc.) to get things done, but just right if you can pop home or have a working picnic, lol!
ReplyDeletelovely way to spend a lunch break, we too had a sunny day and hope to get out and sit and enjoy the sun today, need topping up with Vitamin D the tablets do not seem to be working!
ReplyDeleteThat sounds like the ideal lunch break. I hope we have lots of good weather so you can do that often :)
ReplyDeleteI would think it would be hard to juggle two jobs, but it is always nice to have employment!
ReplyDeleteWith that said, it is amazing what one can get done in an hour and a half if you are organized and ready to sit down and sew!
