We had a lovely session at Richmond and Kew quilters . . . . fusion crochet! Starting with a fabric square (with a substantial seam allowance): add blanket stitch and then crochet onto the blanket stitch. I need to sort out 'stepping up' but this way I dont need help starting!!!
I started this blog for me - it expanded to show BFF Jackie what I was doing - and a few others have invited themselves too - everybody welcome! Mostly about patchwork, with random comments about embroidery, family and life in general, come on in, put your feet up, and I'll put the [virtual] kettle on.

2021 Week 42
We actually managed to get away for a family holiday! 6 of us went to Center Parcs. We did loads of activities (tennis, badminton, squash, kayaking, walking, cycling) and a load of eating, but the only photo I have is 4 of us in the hot tub LOL

2021 Week 29
Not much crafting this week, but a trip out, someone else's yarn bombing and a few gingers!
On the drive to mother-in-law's I pass this letterbox with a knitted farm scene on top of it - each time I approach the junction with fear that someone has vandalised it but I'm so happy to see it's still there!
This probably needs a coin next to it - its 4.24 x 3.5 inches

2020 Week 52
I hope you all had a lovely Christmas - probably not what you are used to, but most of the year has been like that!
I had some lovely crafty gifts - thank you! A map making DVD from Plum (watch this space), a needle keeper and a chocolate sewing machine (yum) from Avril.
I finished another julenissen for us:
I do believe that for once I am going to start the new year with fewer UFOs that I started it with - yes there are still some, and yes I did get some fabric for Christmas that I may be about to cut into, but things have definitely been more chaotic in the sewing room in the past!
Keep well everyone, and keep safe xxx

2020 Week 51
This dotty paper foundation pieced quilt was finally finished this week
The binding was black (with small white dots) onto black fleece - I'm glad that's finished, it was really difficult to see where each stitch was
The upteenth attempt to start my crochet spiral circle is actually working! As I cant start a crochet piece I'm in the hands of others as to how it's going top look, but Lisa made a great choice in the style of this one - I'm using the variegated wool and the cream wool together!
