Apart from a few cups of tea with Brian, I have spent the whole day sewing - and what bliss it has been.
I pieced, quilted and bound an I-Spy quilt for a friend to auction next week
And I emptied the selvedge edge drawer and made 31 blocks to be trimmed to 5 inch squares
And I embroidered a blanket for a friend's 50th next week
And I joined lots of the scraps from the 2.5 inch strips draw to make one very long strip ready to make a scrappy jelly roll race quilt
I am starting to feel I can again describe myself as a patchworker
I started this blog for me - it expanded to show BFF Jackie what I was doing - and a few others have invited themselves too - everybody welcome! Mostly about patchwork, with random comments about embroidery, family and life in general, come on in, put your feet up, and I'll put the [virtual] kettle on.
Go you! I've just been pebble FMQ-ing and now I've got really bad RSI o.O

ReplyDeleteIsn't it lovely to just have a day like that! You accomplished a lot.
ReplyDeleteA very relaxing and productive day...the best combination.
ReplyDeleteHello Benta. I realise that I'm not the only one who didn't sew in the summer. I also started to put 2.5 inch strips together for a quick quilt, but I know it will end up not being very quick. You are so fast and productive. Well done.
ReplyDeleteIt's so nice to work on some sewing, especially if it's been a while. Looks like you've been busy. Everything is so cute, but I'm really curious to see what you do with those selvedge blocks.
