I have been sewing I-Spy hexies together for a while - it got quite big (about twice the size of this), but I wasn't happy with it.
So in a fit of madness I took it all apart
Not content with that, I then started basting some tiny triangles (1 and 1/4 inches each side).
And then started sewing it back together
So to summarise: I took a slow project, took two steps backwards, and am now taking one *very* small step forward.
What ever possessed me?
I think it's withdrawal symptoms - I haven't switched my sewing machine on in 5 weeks!
I think there is something about these hexies that makes everyone pause mid-project. What it is exactly, I don't know, but I have been struggling with a similar problem.
ReplyDeleteI always suspected you were possessed ;o)
ReplyDeleteGreat that you figured out size of triangles, you really do love hand sewing.
ReplyDeleteWhatever - your new way of using your hexies looks very promising !!
ReplyDeleteI have piles of hexies from days when I don't feel motivated to sit at the machine. Someday they will get used. Goof for you for persevering ; )
ReplyDeleteI love the hexies! What a great way to do an i-spy! So cute. Can't wait to see it completed.
