I blogged a while ago about *my* consequences quilt, but a consequence of being in round robin is that I have to make blocks for the others in the group.
Mt first blocks are for Karen. She has taken hexies and bees as her theme, and asked for blocks in yellow and grey.
Her fabrics and blocks are really inspiring, and gorgeous!
She has asked for two blocks from each of us. I am going to paper piece some grey hexies for one of mine, but I had an idea for a machine embroidery for the other one so have done that first.
I really hope she likes it. It isn't paper pieced, but it certainly fits in with her yellow, grey, hexagons and bees theme!
I started this blog for me - it expanded to show BFF Jackie what I was doing - and a few others have invited themselves too - everybody welcome! Mostly about patchwork, with random comments about embroidery, family and life in general, come on in, put your feet up, and I'll put the [virtual] kettle on.
Those colors are great! So is your embroidery. I think it will bee a nice addition to the quilt :)
ReplyDeleteA lovely consequence, Benta. The selection on fabrics looks good too.
ReplyDeletethe honeycomb looks great with a bee on it

ReplyDeleteGosh Benta - I'm sure that she'll be thrilled with that! Good work!
ReplyDeleteHi Benta – thank you for the two blocks you made for my quilt. I love the perfectly sewn grey hexies, and I had been hoping someone would have the embroidery talent to create a little bee – what you have created is just perfect – thank you. I’m looking forward to putting it all together, once I’ve made a few more blocks to complete the quilt.
