We raced against the clock on Sunday afternoon . . . and managed to finish another Noodlehead partitioned basket
Jackie had bought some vinyl, so we had a go at the zippered pouches that Kathy makes so well, and finished one each. (I will add links later, but if you ever want a link to anything just message me)
And having bought the vinyl we *had* to play, so we made up these too
We also started sewing the + blocks together, but they didn't look much different so no pic of that.
I still have money in my pocket, so I bought a few (!) FQs
And I've ordered a few zips after falling in love with Jackie's
Now I'm back in Blighty, back to bored (work) and feeling bereft: it may be next March before we manage to meet up again :-(
I started this blog for me - it expanded to show BFF Jackie what I was doing - and a few others have invited themselves too - everybody welcome! Mostly about patchwork, with random comments about embroidery, family and life in general, come on in, put your feet up, and I'll put the [virtual] kettle on.
You are having way too much fun.
ReplyDeleteHow lovely that you had such a weekend of intense sewing and friendship - surely enough to sustain you for the next few months?!?
ReplyDeleteLovely looking projects that you've made too.
more makes re the vinyl was it easy to sew on the machine and di you use a special needle? I am so looking forward to the K & S show it will be in Harrogate on 20th and will pop over for at least 2 if not 3 days
ReplyDeleteBut......the memories will hold you til then--and all that good stuff you bought ; )
ReplyDeleteMarch seems VERY far away :-(
ReplyDeleteI have just spotted that the zips match your new solids perfectly :-)
ReplyDeleteIt looks like you had a lot of fun and got a lot done while you were away. I love those bright zippers!
