Lisa's been gone now for over 2 weeks: Sydney first and now she's on her way to Melbourne with friends - a long drive but they are taking it slowly: sleeping in the cars
I thought I'd share a few of her pics and messages:
Doesn't it look and sound glorious
But I wasn't quite so impressed when this message arrived a few hours later
And it's some consolation to know the weather isn't *always* perfect!
Still, it sounds as if she's having a great time - and doesn't miss us half as much as we miss her (if at all) . . . but I suppose it's meant to be that way eh?
I started this blog for me - it expanded to show BFF Jackie what I was doing - and a few others have invited themselves too - everybody welcome! Mostly about patchwork, with random comments about embroidery, family and life in general, come on in, put your feet up, and I'll put the [virtual] kettle on.
My dd is in Panama now with Nicaragua and El Salvador next on the travel plans.
ReplyDeleteI'm not worried or anything.
I'm very envious of her! More storms here and more forecast... !
ReplyDeleteLooks like she is having a wonderful time, aren't you proud of the independent, resourceful daughter you raised Benta!
ReplyDeleteGreat that she's having such a good time, and developing a store of stories to share!
ReplyDeleteI remember allowing my daughters to venture out. And always breathing a sigh of relief when they were safely home again. It is a mother's heart :) It looks always looks beautiful in the land down under.
ReplyDeleteJanita
It does sound like a wonderful time. I kind of envy her.
ReplyDeleteLooks lovely. I've been on long drives before in Australia (up to 24 hours long), to get to where we needed to go , but rarely did we ever take the time to stop and enjoy the scenery along the way. Just toilet and food breaks, then back in the car.
ReplyDeleteI don’t know how should I give you thanks! I am totally stunned by your article. You saved my time. Thanks a million for sharing this article.
ReplyDeleteAt least you're having contact! When son did it he was rather lax on the staying in touch.
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear she wasn't shark bait ;o)
