Warm Weekend

Warm Weekend? That's a lie - it's been blinking cold and a sprinkling of snow last night, but as I've finally finished my crochet cowl / infinity scarf * I * was warm!

It wasn't MEANT to have a twist – after I made a long enough chain I tried to untwist it - I suppose at least there is only one twist!  As it was then a Möbius strip it meant the chain ended up down the middle and each side grew symmetrically which was a bonus!

At least I finally have something to link to Janine's (rainbow hare) wool on Sunday's link!

I've also managed to submit my tax return today, so next week I will be sewing - especially as mum is off to see the Aussie family on Thursday and I haven't yet made their Christmas pressies!

At M-i-L's today I added a few more I-spy hexagons, a whole load of triangles next!

And I thought I'd show you baby Autumn's taggie as made by me - mum says it's well loved!

Isn't she cute!

  1. Congrats on finishing your infinity scarf. It is lovely and in perfect time for this cold snap :) And Autumn looks very sweet with her taggie. Thank you for linking up with Wool on Sundays :)

  2. Oh Yaaay! Your crochet scarf looks awesome. Who cares if it has a twist, once it's around your neck, it's all good. Great progress on your EPP.

  3. I love the scarf and the hex and the taggie and the very cute baby's

  4. If I were to crochet, I might get off lucky to have one twist. The sides would definitely undulate(?) and maybe some unintentional tails(?).

  5. Let me fix your typo --- when you typed "It wasn't MEANT to have a twist" I know you meant ... "It wasn't MEANT to have a twist" - it was a design decision! ;) Your infinity scarf, with it's design decision - is perfect :) Autumn and her tag-a-licious namesake - are adorable!

  6. The scarf looks great. I definitely wouldn't have guessed that it began as a mistake.

  7. yes Autumn is very cute. The scarf will be great now it is so cold, 2" snow friday night but fortunately it is not hanging around. Hexies look fantastic

  8. That scarf would definitely come in useful up here in the North East at the moment too Benta, it is freezing. I would never have guessed that the twist wasn't part of the design :)
