Sunday saw a change from the fabric related fun of the previous few days
In fact on Sunday Jackie and I, together with Brian and Lisa, spent the day under a garage roof with a man called Duncan and a pear-eating dog called Gerald!
(Gerald first :-)
Do you know what Lisa is doing?
Or what Jackie is doing?
If you haven't guessed, this should be a bit more helpful (Lisa's first project):
Yes we spent the day with a stained glass craftsman
After we'd made our first pieces (coasters?) we had a scrummy lunch of homemade tomato or squash soup, followed by apple crumble, the we started on a second piece - with curves, gulp!
Jackie's
Brian's
Jackie's again
And here are all our creations together
A lovely day :-)
I started this blog for me - it expanded to show BFF Jackie what I was doing - and a few others have invited themselves too - everybody welcome! Mostly about patchwork, with random comments about embroidery, family and life in general, come on in, put your feet up, and I'll put the [virtual] kettle on.
I'd love to have a go at that! Looks so much fun, and the results are beautiful!
ReplyDeleteThat looks like so much fun Benta, and is evidnetly using all of your "transferable skills" to use a jargon phrase of the moment.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great day out Benta! Another thing to add to my "want to try" list!
ReplyDeleteThat looks like loads of fun!
ReplyDeleteWhat lovely pieces you've all made! That looks like a great day :)
ReplyDeleteThat looks really good and you no doubt had a lovely time!!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely way to spend the weekend. I think I would go stained glassed crazy if I ever learnt the skill - every room in our house would have at least one stained glass decoration. Have you bee able to control yourself? :)
