I've finally found the cable so I can download the camera photos from Festival of Quilts. I've added some more quilt photos to the Private Use tab, and here is the photo of the bloggers I managed to meet up with:
From left to right: Margaret, Sue, Jackie (who doesn't blog, but is frequently mentioned here), me and Eldrid who blogs as KameleonQuilt.
We met at Deborah's (the blue hare) stall and her daughter kindly took this photo (thanks Charlotte) but Deborah herself was busy at the time, so didn't get included in the pic. It was lovely to meet / see you all and put faces to the names.
I started this blog for me - it expanded to show BFF Jackie what I was doing - and a few others have invited themselves too - everybody welcome! Mostly about patchwork, with random comments about embroidery, family and life in general, come on in, put your feet up, and I'll put the [virtual] kettle on.
Such a beautiful pic and looks you have fun!
ReplyDeletethanks for sharing the photo, got a shock when I saw myself! It was lovely to meet up with you and hope to see you again next year
ReplyDeleteWere you there on Saturday - thought I saw someone like you in flip flops but wasn't sure enough to ask - I'll be sorry if you were and I didn't say hello!
ReplyDeleteI think it's fun to discover if people you know online (olden days - by telephone) are as nice/witty/engaging/snarky/amazing as what I perceive them to be in my head. Glad you had a chance to meet up.
ReplyDeleteCertainly looks like you were all having a great time Benta :)
ReplyDeleteAhh, it's all about the networking!
ReplyDeleteIt was so nice to meet with you all, and to put faces to names :-)
ReplyDeleteIt was my first time at the Birmingham show, and it was really great, although hard on the feet. I will definitely want to go another year, so maybe we will meet up again some time.
Hope you all enjoyed the show as much as I did. :-)
Eldrid
It was lovely to meet everyone.
